چکیده

Abstract The estimation of physical and anisotropic parameters is great importance for the characterization fractured reservoirs. Vertical fractures developing in a laterally isotropic (VTI) setting are equivalent to orthotropic (OA) media common stratified shale To obtain independent information, novel reflection coefficient approximation containing derived improve stability inversion media. simplify equation coefficient, an approximate rock physics model constructed using theory modulus. estimated reduced from nine six. accuracy analysis reveals that new appropriate suitable inversion. In addition, stepwise Bayesian amplitude versus angle azimuth (AVAZ) method with smooth background constraints developed estimate azimuthal seismic data. constraint improves robustness And strategy solves problem contribution fracture parameter smaller than other parameters. Synthetic cases show proposed AVAZ feasible estimating OA even when signal-to-noise ratio 2. field has good predicting reservoirs vertical or near-vertical fractures.

Pre-stack Simultaneous Inversion of 3D Seismic Data for Velocity Attributes to Delineate Channel Sand Reservoir

Channel sand acts as stratigraphic trap for hydrocarbon accumulation in many parts of the world. Delineation of this type of reservoir is crucial as channel sand may be scarce and inaccurate location of the drilling wells could lose a huge currency. To differentiate channel sand from the host rocks, attributes such as P and S wave velocity ratio plays a vital role in the study area. The velocit...

SPE 139250 Analysis of Mechanisms of Flow in Fractured Tight-Gas and Shale-Gas Reservoirs

In this paper we analyze by means of numerical simulation the mechanisms and processes of flow in two types of fractured tight gas reservoirs: shale and tight-sand systems. The numerical model includes Darcy’s law as the basic equation of multiphase flow and accurately describes the thermophysical properties of the reservoir fluids, but also incorporates other options that cover the spectrum of...

Simulation and Assessment of Surfactant Injection in Fractured Reservoirs: A Sensitivity Analysis of some Uncertain Parameters

Fracture reservoirs contain most of the oil reserves of the Middle East. Such reservoirs are poorly understood and recovery from fractured reservoirs is typically lower than those from conventional reservoirs. Many efforts have been made to enhance the recovery and production potential of these reservoirs. Fractured reservoirs with high matrix porosity and low matrix permeability need a seconda...
